Meet the founder
Hassan Shibly, Esq.
A Syrian American immigrant and an internationally recognized civil rights attorney, Hassan founded Muslim Legal after a decade as executive director of CAIR-FL, the largest Florida Muslim civil rights organization.
His work has focused on protecting the American Muslim community from FBI harassment, profiling, informant recruitment and entrapment, and from CBP and TSA profiling and detention. He is not afraid to take on controversial cases and speak truth to power.
